We are thrilled to announce that our union bargaining team is back to contract negotiations with the State of Oregon! We had a productive discussion and made proposals based on immediate and long-term support for health care interpreters.

Health Care Interpreters work every day to help people in our communities get the care they need. To support this vital work, AFSCME Oregon Interpreters in Action (OIA) fought for and won funding to provide COVID relief payments to hundreds of HCIs who worked during the pandemic.

Pride Event Raises over $2,000 for Outside In

To kick off the last weekend of Pride in Portland, the Oregon AFSCME LGBTQIA+ Caucus in partnership with AFSCME Local 2805, Multnomah Defenders, Inc and Local 3668, Metropolitan Public Defenders, hosted a line-dancing event to raise funds for Outside In’s LGBTQIA+ programs.
