2022 AFSCME Financial Standards Training
This training, conducted by an auditor from our International Union, is a resource for anyone who oversees union finances. It is recommended that secretary-treasurers, officers, executive board members, trustees, and check-signers attend if possible.
The Code is one of the most comprehensive sets of financial standards in the labor movement. It provides step-by-step procedures for maintaining financial records, preparing meaningful financial reports, as well as makes recommendations regarding sound business procedures, clarifies the rules governing paying wages, reimbursing expenses, paying allowances, etc.
The training will be held in person, socially distanced, at the Kennedy School in Portland. A hybrid option is available for those who can not be there.
