Oregon AFSCMEmembers serve and interact with the public and community members in various capacities.
We acknowledge our members are affected by various issues beyond the workplace. Hence, our organization is committed to develop sustainable and long-term relationships with community and advocacy partners. Through forging alliances with labor organizations, workers and community groups who share similar struggles and values, we can construct a stronger force to reclaim Oregon for working families and improve the quality of life for all community members.
Community Event Calendar & Volunteer Opportunities
AFSCME provides an Event Calendar bulletin board as a service to our locals and community-based organizations. If you are involved with an organization that is hosting community-related or a union event, please contact Zev Nicholson with the details. Postings on this bulletin board do not indicate an endorsement by AFSCME. Also take a second to visit our Photo Gallery and view all the great events our members have organized.
Below are existing and new community partnerships that AFSCME is working to strengthen and expand. Some community groups are statewide while other organizations serve targeted regional areas. Please contact Council 75 if your locals are interested in connecting and working with community partners in your area. To join the growing list of Community Partners, please get in touch with AFSCME Community Coordinator staff, Zev Nicholson – email@example.com.
